WORKSHOP FOR DEVELOPMENT OF PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
Building a successful career in the conditions prevailing in the contemporary global and especially in the Serbian economy is a growing challenge for every next generation. Finding a job in the profession, with satisfactory earnings and working conditions, is no longer sufficient by only having diplomas and professional knowledge that this implies. “Soft skills” such as self-confidence, flexibility, creativity, orientation toward problem solving, teamwork (cooperation and leadership), effective communication, have become important criteria of modern companies in the recruitment process, selection of business partners and necessary characteristics of the future independent entrepreneurs. The work is performed in groups of 10-15 participants.
AT THE END OF THE PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS receive a certificate of acquired level of professional skills.

THE PROGRAM

Self-realization and development of assertiveness
Self-knowledge and self-confidence are the basis for the development of adequate guidance and successful construction career.
The objectives of the workshop are: understanding and acceptance of one’s own needs, capacities, talents, abilities and preferences, as well as the key guideline for defining professional goals, as well as developing the professional prerequisites of success – self-confidence, perseverance and determination.
Techniques and methods: the distinction of passive, aggressive and assertive behavior, techniques for developing self-esteem, improving communication with different social styles, adopting adequate level of assertiveness in different situations in the workplace, techniques to achieve a balance between private and professional spheres.

Self-motivation and motivation of others
Self-motivation as an important area of emotional intelligence is an essential life skill.
The aim of the workshop is to identify and develop key elements of motivation: the need for personal achievement, improvement or satisfaction of certain standards, commitment to achieving the goals (personal, collective, corporate) initiative and optimism, as well as the ability to continue striving toward a goal despite the obstacles.
Understanding and mastering the techniques of self-motivation is the basis for  understanding and application of different methods of motivation to other team members. This is of particular importance for managers and team leaders who acquire the ability to correctly estimate the possible ways of motivation and apply them to team members.
Techniques and methods: learning about different motivators (incentives), tangible and intangible, analyzing and measuring their effects in practical situations.

Personal marketing
Introducing oneself, own qualities and skills to potential employers, clients or team members in the new environment, is usually not a pleasant task. The basis of personnel marketing is having confidence and assertiveness, based on an objective self-assessment – skills to which special attention was given in the first workshop.
The objectives of the workshop are: acquiring skills of clear and convincing communication, building trust, safety and positive attitude to difficult issues and situations during the interview, mastering the techniques to overcome the discomfort before the authorities.
Techniques and methods: More aspects of the group, interactive work.

The ability of adaptation and flexibility
Due to the speed of technological and economic changes in the modern world, all successful companies have a need for personnel ready to adapt to changing circumstances and conditions, new ideas and concepts, which are ready for the challenge of dealing with an unknown, new or unexpected.
The aim of the workshop is to adopt techniques and models easy and fast adaptation to new circumstances, the environment, methods and models of work, the real business simulation, adopting a positive attitude towards capabilities in unfamiliar situations, developing a dynamic approach to the way of working and thinking.
Techniques and methods: Methods of individual and work in small groups and in pairs to develop resistance to stressful situations.

Interpersonal skills and teamwork
Interpersonal skills are of fundamental importance for the realization of successful relations in all areas of life: business, private and social.
The objectives of the workshop are: developing verbal communication, listening skills, emotional intelligence and understanding as a prerequisite for teamwork, then finding the right roles at different stages of development and the activities of the team, improving the performance of the group, problem solving in a team, establishing consensus.

Creativity and innovation
Relying on the existing, established ideas, products and assumptions in contemporary period of accelerated change, often leads to regression and failure of the individual and the company.
The objectives of the workshop are: acquiring skills of creative thinking that leads to innovation and improvement of the system, products and processes, altering problems to opportunities for growth, encouraging “out-of-the-box” thinking, developing skills of method applying to create enthusiasm for new initiatives.
Techniques and methods: interactive learning and adopting techniques of creative thinking that leads to the emergence of new ideas, the implementation of approved models for establishing innovative climate in the work environment.

Presentation skills
Skills that are mastered during the workshops on self-knowledge, developing assertiveness and marketing personnel, represent a stable base to build on in the form of presenting the content to a wider audience. In the previous workshops, the creation of individual style of communication and presentation was conceived, which is further refined for public appearances.
The objectives of the workshop are: the acquisition of skills of clear and meaningful presentation of content, with a striking presentation of key ideas, overcoming discomfort during public appearances, retaining the natural tone and gestures, efficient use of voice, movement and language in public performances, identifying the best and most efficient way of presenting oneself, and adjusting own style and needs, acquiring the skills of assessing the expectations and the mood of the audience, attracting and retaining the attention of listeners, controlling its own style and atmosphere of energy, gaining the trust of listeners.
Techniques and methods: Discussion work in a large group, the formation of the key themes and presenting experiential process and results in front of others.

Business Communication – rational and emotional aspects
Effective communication skills are the cornerstones of professional advancement. Whether it refers to a conversation face to face, or exchange of an e-mail, effective communication implies a meaningful message that establishes a connection and leaves a strong impression.
The aim of the workshop: developing effective communication skills in the workplace, which implies the right choice of words that will make the message clear and simple, improving techniques of professional writing and presentation skills, preserving the desirable level of spontaneity and authenticity in the exchange of ideas, opinions and needs whether between the associates in the team, authorities or customers, further improvement of personal style started in the workshop presentation skills.
Techniques and methods: Short presentations, discussion groups.

Leadership
The leading roles are not based only on formal authority in the work environment. Leadership skills can be applied and desirable in many social, family and professional roles which do not involve the parent position. These skills come to the fore in all situations where there is a need for leadership. A good leader is the one who becomes the head on the basis of personal credibility because people want to follow him!
Workshop objectives: developing the most important skills of the leader – strategic thinking, developing skills of visualization, desired achievements, improvement of individual skills acquired in previous workshops, especially assertiveness, motivating others, constructive thinking, and personal qualities necessary for leadership – determination, persistence, optimism.
Techniques and methods: short lecture, interactions between groups

Time disposal and limited resources
Time management is an important aid in increasing personal productivity, reduction of stress levels and improvement of professional results. Effective time management is an adequate response to the increased operating pressure of the global economy and economic turmoil.
The aim of the workshop: basic skills of efficiency, developing the ability to set priorities and allocation of time by priority, further development and maintenance of focus and motivation, which was basically set in the previous workshops, mastering the skills of “creating” free time, which leads to a reduction of tensions in the work environment, delegation of skills.
Techniques and methods: separation of “important” and “urgent” assessment capabilities and applications in terms of specific limitations.

Setting priorities and making decisions under pressure
Chaos becomes part of the reality of many organizations.
The aim of the workshop is to master a variety of simple tools and techniques in order to alleviate, clarify and eliminate the danger of the prevailing chaos, the improvement of skills acquired in the workshop Availability of time and limited resources.
Techniques and methods: defining elements of the chaos that can be controlled, making decisions based on multiple analysis of the problem, determining the sequence of tasks according to importance and urgency, the use of assertive communication with changes in priorities, the rational and efficient use of available resources.
